“Unknown Soldier” was released as our second single off the third album, Waiting for the Sun, following the huge success of “Hello, I Love You.” The prospects weren’t nearly as good because of the political nature of the lyrics. I was proud of Jim’s first obviously political statement and proud of the record company for having the courage to push it.
